📖 About the university

Panzhihua University is a public undergraduate university located in Panzhihua City in southern Sichuan Province, sponsored by the Sichuan provincial government. It was founded in 1983, merged with Panzhihua Education College in 1994 and the provincial Panzhihua Health School in 1998, and was upgraded to a full undergraduate institution and renamed Panzhihua University in 2001. The university is organized into around 21 teaching units and offers about 61 undergraduate programs, together with first-level and professional master's degree authorizations. It has more than 1,100 faculty and staff and enrolls roughly 16,000 full-time students, including undergraduates, postgraduates and international students. Set in China's renowned vanadium and titanium capital, the university is distinctive for its research and teaching in metallurgy and vanadium-titanium materials, alongside mechanical engineering, medicine and management. Panzhihua University admits international students and offers Chinese-language programs for those studying in China.
