Wanning

Wanning is a county-level city on the southeastern coast of Hainan, celebrated as China's premier surfing destination, with the consistent waves of Riyue (Sun-Moon) Bay drawing surfers from across the country. Its warm coves, the scenic Dongshan Ridge and the Xinglong tropical gardens make it a favourite for beach and eco-tourism, while the Xinglong area — settled by returned overseas Chinese — is known for locally grown coffee.
