Wanning has no metro. Taxis and local buses connect the station with the town centre and nearby Shimei Bay and Riyue Bay surf beaches.

Traveller notes

Served by the Hainan Eastern Ring high-speed railway (opened December 2015, designed for 250 km/h), which loops the whole island. Wanning also has a second HSR stop, Shenzhou station, opened in January 2014. The area is known for coconut groves and the surf beaches of Riyue Bay and Shimei Bay.

The nearest airports are Sanya Phoenix International Airport to the south and Qionghai Bo'ao International Airport to the north; both are reached most easily by taking the Hainan Eastern Ring HSR onward rather than by road.
