About 70 km north of central Lanzhou (one of the farthest airport-to-city distances in China). The intercity train from Zhongchuan Airport East station to Lanzhou West station (38 min) is fastest. Airport buses ~60-80 min. Taxi is pricey (~CNY 200).

Gansu's main gateway. New Terminal 3 (2025) handles international flights. Lanzhou has a large Hui Muslim population; halal food (famous Lanzhou beef noodles) is everywhere and prayer rooms are available.

🔄 Getting from the airport to the train stations

Lanzhou West Railway Station: The airport is about 70 km north, and the best option is the intercity train from Zhongchuan Airport station to Lanzhou West for a second-class fare of about ¥18.5 in roughly 40 minutes, fast and economical. The airport bus is about ¥30 and a taxi is far, about ¥200.
Lanzhou Railway Station: Some intercity trains also serve Lanzhou Station, otherwise a simple transfer works; or take the airport bus into the city for about ¥30. A taxi is about ¥200.
