🌆 About Shihezi

Shihezi is a planned city in northern Xinjiang, built largely in the mid-twentieth century by the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. Set at the edge of the Gurbantunggut Desert near the Tianshan mountains, it is a centre of agriculture, especially cotton.
