📖 About the university

Hebei Agricultural University in Baoding is one of the oldest agricultural universities in China, founded in 1902, and the flagship agricultural institution of Hebei Province. It is strong in agronomy, horticulture, forestry and plant protection, and is famous for the 'Taihang Mountain Road' model in which its professors brought science directly to farmers to lift mountain villages out of poverty. The university operates experimental stations across Hebei and hosts national and provincial agricultural laboratories, contributing to fruit, grain and forestry development on the North China Plain. Its academic breadth spans agriculture, science, engineering, economics and management. International students are welcomed for Chinese-language study and degrees in the agricultural sciences.
