Hubei University Zhixing College is an independent college with independent legal-person status, founded in 2000 and run by Hubei University in the Jiang'an district of Wuhan, Hubei Province. It was among the first batch of independent colleges established in Hubei with Ministry of Education approval and holds the authority to grant bachelor's degrees. The college operates at both undergraduate and associate-degree levels, with undergraduate education as its focus, and recruits within the national unified enrolment plan across China. It offers programmes in Chinese language and literature, journalism, law, radio and television directing, computer science and technology, Internet-of-Things engineering, finance and business administration, among others. Drawing on the teaching resources of its parent Hubei University, its strongest fields include Chinese language and literature, journalism, computer science and Internet-of-Things engineering. It was among the first pilot institutions in Hubei for transformation toward applied education, serving the cultural, media and information industries of the Wuhan metropolitan area.
