📖 About the university

Jiangxi Normal University Science and Technology College is a full-time undergraduate institution located in the city of Gongqingcheng, Jiangxi Province, approved by the Ministry of Education and the Jiangxi provincial government. It began in May 2001 as the Qinglan College of Jiangxi Normal University and was renamed Science and Technology College later that year, being formally confirmed as an independent college by the Ministry of Education in 2003. It gained bachelor's degree-granting authority in 2012 and later became a pilot institution for the national "1+X" vocational-certificate system. As of 2024 the college occupies a campus of about eight hundred mu, has ten secondary colleges offering forty-eight undergraduate majors, and enrols more than thirteen thousand full-time students, with several joint master's cultivation programmes. Its strengths lie in teacher-education disciplines, information engineering, business administration and the arts, sharing the brand resources of its parent normal university. The campus sits in the science-and-education city of Gongqingcheng in the core of the Ganjiang New Area, on the shores of Poyang Lake at the southern foot of Mount Lu.

🌆 About Gongqingcheng

Gongqingcheng is a small county-level city under Jiujiang in northern Jiangxi beside Poyang Lake, founded in 1955 by young Communist Youth League volunteers reclaiming wasteland, and today known for its garment and down-apparel industry alongside lakeside eco-tourism. It is one of China's newest county-level cities, established in 2010.
