📖 About the university

Chengdu Technological University is a public full-time undergraduate university run by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government and located in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province. Founded in 1913, it was the first industrial school established in Sichuan after the 1911 Revolution, and over more than a century it changed its name numerous times, passing through stages such as Sichuan Provincial First Industrial School and Chengdu Electromechanical College before being approved as an undergraduate university in 2012. The university is an application-oriented, engineering-focused institution with schools covering electrical and automation engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, electronic engineering, and materials and environmental engineering. Its strongest disciplines include electrical engineering and automation, mechanical engineering, materials science and computer science, and it emphasizes industry-education integration and the training of applied engineering talent. Set in one of western China's largest industrial and technology hubs, the university admits international students and provides Chinese-language study for learners in China.
