📖 About the university

Dalian Institute of Science and Technology is a private undergraduate university in the university town of the Lushun development zone at the southern tip of the Liaodong Peninsula. Its predecessor, the Information Engineering College of Dalian Jiaotong University, was set up in 2002, and it became an independent private undergraduate institution in 2011. Reflecting its origins in a railway university, the institute is strongest in rail-transit engineering, automotive engineering, electrical and automation engineering and software. It emphasises collaborative, industry-linked education and hands-on engineering training on a large modern campus.
