📖 About the university

Shandong Institute of Commerce and Technology is a full-time public higher-vocational college located in Jinan, the capital of Shandong. Its origins lie in the Huilu Industrial and Commercial Vocational School founded in 1936 and the Qingdao Commercial Vocational School founded in 1945, and in March 1999 the modern college was formed by merging the Shandong Commercial Staff University and the Shandong Commercial School. The college occupies more than 2,600 mu across its Caishi main campus and other sites and serves over fifteen thousand full-time students. It is organised into around seven secondary colleges, including Accounting and Finance, Business Administration, Information and Arts, Intelligent Manufacturing and Services, Food and Pharmaceuticals, Public Administration, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship, offering some fifty-one programmes. As a national demonstrative and high-level (double-high) A-list vocational college, it is one of China's leading commerce-oriented vocational institutions, with particular strengths in accounting and finance, business, food and pharmaceutical technology, cloud computing and cold-chain logistics. As an applied vocational college it enrols primarily domestic students and does not currently advertise a dedicated Chinese-language pathway for international applicants.
