📖 About the university

Yunnan Police College is a public undergraduate police academy in Kunming run by the Yunnan provincial government. Founded in April 1950, it grew through a series of public-security and political-cadre schools before being upgraded to a full undergraduate college in 2003 and gaining master's-level authorisation in 2022. Because Yunnan borders the drug-producing regions of South-East Asia, the college is nationally known for its programmes in narcotics control and border-security management, alongside criminal investigation, public security and forensic science. It serves as a key training base for police and border-control officers across the south-western frontier.
