Hanjiang Normal University is a provincial public undergraduate university in Shiyan, northwestern Hubei Province. Its predecessor, Yunyang Normal School, traces back to 1904, and it was upgraded to full undergraduate status as Hanjiang Normal University in 2016. The university focuses on teacher education and offers programs across the humanities, science, engineering and management. It serves as an important teacher-training base for the mountainous Han River region of Hubei.
