📖 About the university
Shaanxi Institute of Fashion Engineering is a private undergraduate university in the Xi'an-Xianyang metropolitan area of Shaanxi Province, with its main campus in the Fengxi New City of the Xixian New Area and a second campus in Sanyuan County near Xianyang. Founded in 1994 as the Shaanxi Clothing Further-Education College, it became a higher vocational college in 2002 and was approved by the Ministry of Education to offer undergraduate education under its present name in 2011, gaining bachelor's degree-granting authority in 2015. The university is organised into around ten teaching schools and departments and offers roughly twenty-seven undergraduate programmes, with fashion and clothing engineering and design as its defining specialities. Set within the Guanzhong Plain around the ancient capital region, it combines a strong applied-arts identity with programmes in information engineering, economics, management, media and education. Its core strengths lie in fashion design and engineering, art and design, clothing technology and media arts. It suits students interested in fashion, textiles, design and creative industries in northwestern China.
