Qiannan Normal University for Nationalities is a public undergraduate university in Duyun, the capital of the Qiannan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in southern Guizhou province. It was formed as an undergraduate teachers university in 2000, one of the first nationalities teachers universities of its kind approved by the Ministry of Education. The university is dedicated to training teachers and professionals for the ethnically diverse mountainous region of southern Guizhou. Its strengths lie in education, the humanities, applied mathematics and information technology.
