📖 About the university

North University of China in Taiyuan is a defense-oriented public university with a proud revolutionary heritage, founded in 1941 as the Taihang Industrial School in the communist base areas — the first ordnance school run by the Party. Nicknamed the 'cradle of the people's arms industry,' it excels in instrument science, mechatronics, ordnance and dynamics engineering, and materials, and works closely with the national defense industry. The university is jointly built by Shanxi Province and several ministries and hosts national and provincial research platforms.
