Shanghai Sanda University is a private full-time undergraduate university founded in 1992 by professors from Shanghai Jiao Tong, Peking, and Tsinghua universities. It was the first private higher education institution in Shanghai authorized to grant academic degrees and became a bachelor's-level university in 2002. Its strongest programs are in nursing, international economics and trade, and information technology. The university enrolls a large number of students on its campuses in Pudong and beyond.
