📖 About the university

Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU), approved by the Ministry of Education in November 2018, is a young public university of applied sciences created to meet the technology needs of Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area. Modelled partly on German universities of applied sciences, it emphasises hands-on, industry-linked training and cultivates applied and technical talent rather than purely theoretical graduates. It is organised into some ten colleges — including a flagship Sino-German College of Intelligent Manufacturing — with programmes in big data and the internet, new materials and new energy, urban transport and logistics, health and environmental engineering, engineering physics, and creative design. Located in Pingshan District on a large modern campus of over a million square metres, SZTU sits amid Shenzhen's manufacturing and tech ecosystem, giving students strong internship and employment links. Its practical, engineering-first identity makes it an increasingly popular applied-sciences choice.
