📖 About the university

Zhejiang A&F University Jiyang College is an independent college in Zhuji, Zhejiang Province, established in 2000 by the predecessor of Zhejiang A&F University with the approval of the Zhejiang provincial government. In 2011 the university partnered with the Zhuji municipal government and an education investment company, and in September 2013 the college relocated from Lin'an to Zhuji, where it now operates on Puyang Road. It offers application-oriented undergraduate programmes across engineering, agriculture and forestry, economics, management, the humanities and the arts. Drawing on the agricultural and forestry heritage of its parent university, its strongest fields include landscape gardening, engineering technology, tourism management and environmental design. The college also admits students through vocational secondary-school-to-undergraduate and other pathways. Located in the entrepreneurial city of Zhuji, famous for its pearl and hosiery industries, it emphasises practical education tied to the regional economy of central Zhejiang.

Zhuji is a county-level city administered by Shaoxing in central Zhejiang, best known as the legendary hometown of Xi Shi, one of the Four Beauties of ancient China.
