📖 About the university

Guizhou Education University is a provincial public undergraduate institution located in the Wudang District of Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou Province. It was originally established in 1978 as the Guizhou Institute of Education, a school dedicated to training and upgrading in-service teachers, and in 2009 it was transformed into a full-time undergraduate college and renamed Guizhou Education University with the approval of the Ministry of Education. The university retains a strong teacher-education mission while offering a broad range of undergraduate programs across education, literature, science, engineering, management and the arts. It has developed particular strengths in teacher training, applied chemistry, big data applications and the study of Guizhou's rich ethnic minority cultures. Serving the mountainous and ethnically diverse province of Guizhou, the university admits international students and provides Chinese-language study for learners in China.
