Liaoning Finance and Trade College is a private undergraduate university located in the seaside city of Xingcheng, under the administration of Huludao in western Liaoning Province. It began in 2005 as the Bohai College of Shenyang Normal University, and in September 2008 it was approved by the Ministry of Education as one of the country's first batch of independent colleges to convert into a standalone private undergraduate institution, taking its present name. The college enrols more than 10,500 students and offers over thirty undergraduate programmes across economics, management, literature, art, education and engineering, with economics and management at its core and art and physical education as distinctive features. Its campus sits within the Xingcheng Coastal national scenic area, giving students a rare seaside setting among Chinese universities.
