📖 About the university

Hangzhou Dianzi University Information Engineering College is an independent college in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, founded in 1999 by Hangzhou Dianzi University and confirmed among the first batch of independent colleges by the Ministry of Education in 2004. In 2012 the university signed a cooperation agreement with the Lin'an municipal government to jointly build the college, and in 2019 it passed the provincial standardisation review for independent colleges. The college has a clear electronic-information focus complemented by strengths in economics and management, offering around twenty-five majors across engineering, economics, management, literature and the arts. Its programmes are grouped into six clusters spanning computing, mechanical and automation engineering, electronic information, economics and management, design and English. It holds two provincial first-class disciplines and several provincial specialty programmes, and its graduates enjoy high employment rates, with many remaining in Hangzhou. Set on the Qingshanhu campus, it serves the digital-economy and information-technology industries for which Hangzhou is renowned.
