Shandong University of Technology is a comprehensive engineering-oriented university in the industrial city of Zibo, jointly built by Shandong Province and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Founded in 1956, it is well regarded for mechanical, agricultural, vehicle and chemical engineering, drawing on Zibo's long ceramics and petrochemical traditions.
