📖 About the university

Chongqing University of Education is a full-time public undergraduate institution under the administration of the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission and located in Nan'an District of Chongqing. It was founded in 1954 as a teacher-training school, evolved through the stages of Chongqing Teachers' Training College and Chongqing College of Education, and was formally established as an undergraduate university under its current name with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2012. The university operates two campuses, the Xuefu Avenue Campus and the Nanshan Campus, and focuses on teacher education while also developing programs in economics, management, information technology and the arts. It is especially known for its strengths in preschool education and primary education, reflecting its long heritage as a training base for teachers in the Chongqing region. The university admits international students and provides Chinese-language study for learners in China.
