📖 About the university
Xinjiang Institute of Technology is a public undergraduate university located in Aksu in southern Xinjiang, near the northern rim of the Tarim Basin. It grew out of an institution established in 2002 and was approved as an independent public undergraduate university in 2019, making it one of the newest universities based in southern Xinjiang. The institute focuses on engineering and applied technology, with programs in mechanical, electrical, civil and textile engineering that support the region's development. It plays an important role in training technical talent for the industries of southern Xinjiang.
