📖 About the university
Yangtze University is a large comprehensive public university in the ancient city of Jingzhou on the Yangtze in Hubei, jointly built by the province, the Ministry of Education and the China National Petroleum Corporation. Formed in 2003 from a merger of petroleum, agricultural and medical colleges dating to 1950, it is one of China's strongest universities for petroleum engineering and petroleum geology, alongside solid programs in agriculture and medicine. It runs affiliated hospitals and oilfield research institutes and spans engineering, science, agriculture, medicine, economics and the humanities. Its campuses lie in the historic Chu-culture city of Jingzhou and in Wuhan. International students are welcomed into English-taught MBBS and Chinese-language programs.
