Youjiang Medical University for Nationalities in Baise, founded in 1958, is a medical university serving the ethnic-minority regions of western Guangxi. It offers clinical medicine, pharmacy, nursing, medical imaging and is distinctive for its research into Zhuang ethnic medicine and the diseases of the subtropical border region. Its affiliated hospitals serve a large minority population. It admits international students into its English-taught MBBS programme.
