Qujing Normal University, founded in 1978, is a teacher-training university in Qujing, the second-largest city of Yunnan, on the eastern plateau near Guizhou. It trains teachers across the humanities, sciences, education and the arts for the schools of eastern Yunnan, a multi-ethnic region. It is an important teacher-education base for the plateau. Its campus lies in a highland city. The university welcomes international students, notably from Southeast Asia, interested in Chinese language and education.
