Heilongjiang Industry and Commerce College is a private undergraduate university in Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province in China's far northeast. It was established in 2002 as Chengdong College of Northeast Agricultural University, an independent college, and in 2015 the Ministry of Education approved its conversion into a standalone private undergraduate institution under its present name. The university operates campuses in Harbin's Limin Development Zone in Songbei and in the Shuangcheng district, together covering more than 630,000 square metres, and serves over 12,000 full-time students. It is organised into nine schools offering around twenty-six undergraduate programmes across economics, management, engineering, art, foreign languages and the humanities. As an application-oriented university, its core strengths lie in economics and management, information engineering, civil engineering and art and design. It suits students seeking an affordable, broad-based private university in a major cultural city of northeastern China.
