📖 About the university
Capital University of Physical Education and Sports (CUPES), founded in 1956 as Beijing Sports School, is the only municipal sports university in Beijing. It offers doctoral, master's and bachelor's programs and hosts a national Confucius Institute base for Chinese martial arts training and research. CUPES is authorized to receive Chinese Government Scholarship international students, many of whom study wushu and physical education. It combines competitive sports, sports science and physical education teacher training.
