To & from the city centre

Zhongwei has no metro. The HSR station is south of the Yellow River, about 4.5 km from the centre. Use a taxi or bus. (Conventional trains use the older 'Zhongwei' station.)

Gateway to the Shapotou desert scenic area on the Silk Road. Opened with the Zhongwei–Lanzhou HSR in December 2022. In Ningxia's Muslim-majority region; halal food easy to find.

🔄 Getting from the station to the airport

Zhongwei Shapotou Airport (ZHY) is a small airport about 12 km from the city. A free airport bus (Route 7) links the airport with the city, a good budget option, while a taxi from Zhongwei South Railway Station costs about ¥40-60 and takes 20-30 minutes.
