Zhengzhou Hangkonggang (Airport Port) Railway Station

The closest high-speed station to Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport — only about six kilometres away — and since an under-airport tunnel opened, the transfer between terminal and station takes around ten minutes. For central Zhengzhou take the Zhengzhou–Airport intercity line or a high-speed train to Zhengzhou East and then the metro. Tell a taxi driver '郑州航空港站', not '郑州东站': the two are far apart.

The station entered service on 20 June 2022 after five years of construction that began on 20 November 2017. It is a vast complex with 500,000 sqm of floor area, 16 platforms and 32 arrival/departure tracks, bringing a high-speed passenger centre, a rail-freight logistics centre, an air–rail interchange, a long-distance coach terminal and a tourist distribution centre under one roof. That makes it the logical choice if you land at Zhengzhou airport and want to continue by train towards Chongqing, Fuyang or southern Henan without going into the city centre.
