The station sits inside the older urban core of Xianyang (Weicheng District), on the north bank of the Wei River. Reach the centre by city bus or taxi/Didi.

Traveller notes

A first-class station in use since 1936; since August 2021 it also handles Dongji high-speed EMU services on the Longhai line. Note: Xianyang also has Xianyang West (咸阳西站 — called Xianyang Qindu 咸阳秦都站 until the June 2021 name unification) on the Xuzhou–Lanzhou HSR, plus a separate airport station — check which station name is on your ticket. Xianyang adjoins Xi'an.
