Large HSR station on the Beijing–Shanghai line (~97 trains/day), opened 2011. Connected to Metro Line 2. An eastern alternative to central Wuxi station.
🔄 Getting from the station to the airport
Sunan Shuofang International Airport (WUX), about 14 km: Wuxi East Railway Station sits on Metro Line 2. Ride Line 2 to a transfer with Line 3, then take Line 3 directly to Shuofang Airport Station, which is inside Terminal 2. The journey takes about 45-55 minutes and costs 5-7 yuan, making the metro the cheapest and most reliable option. A taxi covers the same distance in about 25-35 minutes for roughly 50-70 yuan. There is no free service.
