Opened 26 December 2009, it is one of just three county-level stops on the Hunan section of the Beijing–Guangzhou high-speed line. The station roof is shaped from 16 dragon-boat sculptures set side by side, honoring the Dragon Boat Festival tradition tied to the poet Qu Yuan, who drowned in the Miluo River.
