Traveller notes
Lianjiang Station opened together with the whole Litang–Zhanjiang railway on 1 July 1955; its vintage platform building, designed with Soviet-expert input in a red-tile, yellow-brick style, is one of the last surviving 'classic' station buildings on the line. A newer high-speed Lianjiang South Station, planned for the future Hezhou–Zhanjiang high-speed railway, is still at the planning stage and had not opened as of 2026.
