Jiaohe has no metro. The station is in town, served by local buses and taxis.

Opened in 2015 as one of 9 stations on the 360 km Jilin–Tumen–Hunchun high-speed railway (via Jiaohe, Dunhua, Antu, Longjing, Yanji, and Tumen). The old conventional Jiaohe Railway Station on the Changtu line terminated all passenger operations on 1 July 2023 and now handles freight only, making Jiaohe West the city's effective passenger station today.
