Gaoyou has no metro. The station is about 3 km from downtown; use a city bus or a taxi/Didi.

Design was approved in August 2018 and construction began on 12 February 2019; the station opened on 11 December 2020 together with the Lianyungang–Zhenjiang high-speed railway. The roughly 5,000-square-meter building has a 2-platform, 4-track layout and is one of four Gaoyou-area stations on the line, alongside Gaoyou North.
