🚇 To & from the city centre
The station is close to the city center; taxis and local buses reach downtown Diaobingshan and the nearby Steam Locomotive Museum within a few minutes.
Built in 1960 as a third-class station on the Tiefa branch line laid to serve the Tiefa coalfield, Diaobingshan Station today is used mainly for coal freight. The city's main draw for visitors is the adjoining Diaobingshan Steam Locomotive Museum (opened 2002, rated AAAA), the only place in China where visitors can operate a real steam locomotive; scheduled passenger service on the branch is limited today, so most visitors arrive by road.
