Historic central station near the Yangtze. Nearest metro is Lianglukou on lines 1 and 3. Important: the station is closed and demolished for full reconstruction, expected to reopen around 2028; use Chongqing North, West or East instead.

Service stopped in June 2022 and the building was demolished in May 2025. Not currently operating; the new Chongqing East station (western China's largest HSR hub) opened in June 2025 as the main replacement.

🔄 Getting from the station to the airport

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (CKG, about 25 km): from Chongqing Railway Station (Caiyuanba) take Metro Line 3, which runs toward the airport and terminates at Jiangbei Terminal 2, so it is a direct ride of about 50 minutes for 7 yuan. Line 3 is the fast, low-cost option; there is no free choice. A taxi is around 70 yuan.
