Chaka has no metro. The station is close to the famous Chaka Salt Lake; buses and taxis serve the lake area.

Traveller notes

A stop on the Xining–Golmud (Xige) section of the Qinghai–Tibet railway; seasonal tourist trains from Xining to Chaka have run since June 2016, bringing visitors to the famed 'Mirror of the Sky' salt lake.
