The largest industrial city in Inner Mongolia (steel and rare earths). Fast trains to Hohhot, Beijing and Yinchuan (line opened 2025).

🔄 Getting from the station to the airport

Your destination is Baotou Donghe International Airport (BAV), in the east of the city while the main Baotou Station is in the west, so the distance is significant (about 30 km). The fastest option is a taxi, over ¥40 and about 30 minutes. Airport buses to the Haide Hotel cost ¥14. City buses (Bus 50 then Bus 30) are cheaper but very slow (about 1 hour 50 minutes). There is no metro.
