Since 31 December 2021, Niujie has had its own metro stop: Niujie Station (牛街站) on Line 19, at the junction of Niujie, Changchun Street and Guang'anmennei Avenue; the station's design reflects Hui Muslim heritage and the nearby Niujie Mosque. Bus routes 10, 48, 88, 213 and 717 also reach the Niujie Mosque stop, about a 90m walk away.
Guang'anmennei Station (广安门内站, Line 7) followed by a short walk, or a transfer at Caishikou Station (菜市口站), also reaches Niujie.
