Zhangga Mosque was founded in 1404 in the early Ming dynasty, one of the oldest surviving Salar mosques. Its historic timber prayer hall and gate tower are among the structures protected as part of the 'Salar Mosque Ancient Architecture Group', a National Key Cultural Relic Protection Unit. The building fuses Chinese palace-style carpentry with Islamic worship needs. It continues to serve the Salar community of Baizhuang.

Reached from Xunhua county town by local car or taxi to Baizhuang Town's Zhangga Village; ask for 张尕清真寺.
A rare early-Ming wooden mosque of great heritage value; visitors should treat it as a protected monument, keep quiet during prayer, and dress modestly.
In Xunhua county, roughly 150 km southeast of Xining; combine with nearby Kewa and Jiezi mosques.
