📜 About & history

Zaojiaoping Mosque was founded in 1803 (8th year of the Qing Jiaqing era) and follows the Gedimu tradition, with a congregation of 235 households (1,325 people). It originally had a three-bay prayer hall and a three-bay south lecture hall; the hall later collapsed with age. A new square prayer hall of 100 square metres was built in 1983, and a three-bay porch was added in 1987 to hold larger congregations.
