📜 About & history
Yu Baba Gongbei is one of the historic Sufi menhuan shrine complexes of Linxia, the city Chinese Muslims call 'Little Mecca'. Built around the tomb of a venerated Sufi master (baba), it sits in the northern part of the old city near Linxia Middle School and forms part of the dense fabric of gongbei that make Linxia the cradle of Chinese Sufi orders.

Sufi shrine with attached prayer hall; daily prayers observed. Sermons in Chinese. Modest, respectful conduct expected at the tomb.

From the Bafang Shisan Xiang quarter, a short taxi ride north to the Chengbei/Minzhu area.
