South Yiwu Mosque serves Muslims in the southern residential areas of the city, which host significant communities of resident Muslim traders. Over the past decades, Yiwu has attracted over ten thousand resident Muslims from the Middle East, Africa, and beyond, who have formed organic communities across different neighbourhoods and districts. This mosque meets the religious needs of Muslim residents who have made southern Yiwu their permanent home.

Open for the five daily prayers, with the main Friday Jumu'ah gathering around midday; ablution (wudu) facilities are on site. Modest dress is requested.
