Guilin Women's Mosque

桂林清真女寺
📍 Guilin · Xiangshan District

📜 About & history

The Guilin Women's Mosque is a dedicated women's mosque (nüsi) serving the city's Hui Muslim women. By the 1990s Guilin's urban district still held five mosques — the West Outer Old Mosque, Mapingjie, Chongshan, Xixiang and the Xicheng Road Women's Mosque. Women's mosques are a long-standing feature of Hui Islam in inland China, providing a separate space for women's worship and religious education. It stands in the Xicheng Road neighbourhood of Xiangshan District.
