📜 About & history
Wangjiazui Mosque is in Wangjiazui Village, Liushun Township, Lintan County, Gansu. Founded in 1380 (13th year of the Ming Hongwu era), it is one of the earliest village mosques in Lintan and follows the Qadim tradition. It was founded by Hui soldiers who settled here after Mu Ying's western campaign, the Ma and Ding families being the first residents. Destroyed in fighting in 1929, it was rebuilt in 1932 under Ma Haiya and others, and demolished in 1968 during the Cultural Revolution. In 1984 Ma Mingliang, Ding Bingkun, Ma Yuanfu and others raised funds to rebuild a three-bay brick-and-timber hall with a hip-and-gable roof, carved with bamboo, plum blossoms and Arabic script, along with a school room and ablution rooms on 1.1 mu. Imam Han Wenyao leads the congregation.
