📜 About & history
Tudunzi Mosque stands 20 km west of Fukang inside the headquarters of Tudunzi Farm and was built in 1894 in the Qing Guangxu era. The 1,000-plus-square-metre complex has a west-facing prayer hall, north and south wings and an east gate. The 235-square-metre brick-and-timber hall has a single-eave hip-and-gable roof with carved dragon-head eaves, and it is the only surviving mosque in Xinjiang with dougong brackets. It became an autonomous-region protected site in 1999 and was restored in 2020.
